Chia can be consumed raw or cooked in various ways, as a healthy snack or added to smoothies, yogurt, breakfast cereals, or drinks (as used in the popular drink "Chia Fresca" in Central America).

-Place on a bowl 1 cup of water (preferably hot), 1 tbsp of Chia seeds, 2 or 3 tbsp of lemon or lime, and 1 tbsp honey or agave.
-Mix ingredients and stir well. Let stand for 20 to 30 minutes or until the Chia Seeds have softened and a thin gelatin texture is formed. Chia also can be added to smoothies, salads, yogurt, breakfast cereals, etc.
